Let’s start the year off right!
As a small business owner myself, I try to be in so many places at once but it is physically impossible.
One task your product photos should be doing for you is carrying the heavy load when it comes to your online presence. They should be able to sell your products or translate your message without you saying a word. Consistency throughout all of your photos is one thing some business owners overlook.
If you’re uncertain about whether your current photos are doing this, you should consider updating them.
Any questions you may have, find them in our Frequently Asked Questions section at the bottom of the page. If it’s not there, shoot us a message!
Photography Styles
As every product and brand is different, the style and the treatment of each product should be different too. Use this guide below to help you determine which style speaks to you the most.
E-commerce Style
This style is best used for products that are going to be placed in an online store. Simple, evenly lit photos on a 100% white background is usually the safest bet for giving your products a clean and consistent look across any platform.
Coloured Background
This style works best when you want to give your photos a little zazz but still keep the focus on the product. Your brand colours and personality will determine the colour(s) used for the background. You could even throw in a few background props if you’re feeling frisky.
StylizeD
Your products will be placed in a slightly stylized environment that will enhance its essence. The props usually are ingredients found in your product or just some playfulness with lighting or composition.
Composite
(Simple)
Composites usually require a bit of photo manipulation, that gives the appearance of movement or compositions that are almost impossible to see with your own eyes. These add a bit of uniqueness to your brand and gives the overall appearance of a good time.
Composite
(AdvanceD)
Advanced compositing usually requires a lot of photo manipulation and possibly multiple photo sessions to gather all the elements needed for that 1 final image.
As tedious as its could be, the end result is usually worth all the work and will guarantee a memorable experience for your customers.

That’s more than okay. We will discuss your brand identity and vision and figure out the best route from there. Based on our discussion, we will formulate a shot list that will guide all necessary parties through the entire process.
-
That is totally up to you. The contents of the products most likely will be used during the process so you will let me know if you’d prefer to have them collected or disposed of.
-
No you don’t. We will have a clearly detailed shot list so that we both have an understanding about what’s expected.
-
If you know exactly what you would like the outcome of the photos to be, that’s perfect, but if you don’t, I’d be more than happy to help guide you towards something you will truly love.
-
Certainly! At any point during the process you are free to change your mind. However, please keep in mind that changes will incur an additional cost.
-
Depending on the complexity of the requirements, it could take between 3 - 7 days. Some factors like product delivery or project changes could affect the process duration.
-
Definitely. If you would like graphics added, please let me know BEFORE the photoshoot so that I can frame the photos to suit.
-
Nope! Once the session is over and the photos have been paid for, they will be yours to keep so there is no need for my watermark.
-
Each package is allotted a $20 prop budget. Any additional expenses will be added to the final total.
